Kicking myself

I dont know why I didnt research this beforehand...

I bought a set of MrGasket hood locks a few weeks ago. Theyre pretty neat. The locking mechanism is quality and everything seems to be really fancy and well planned out.

Today I decided to look for some installation tips and some reviews (yes I know, shouldve done that before I spent the money...dont say it).
I found 5 threads on h-t alone that had people using them.
"Cool" I thought...that'll help.
Of those 5 I saw 3 different cars where they had failed and the damn hood flew open; crushing the windshield and other crap.

Anyone wanna buy a set of hood locks? Theyre brand spankin new, just PDigg-Painted flat black......

Security....not safety.

I particularly like the $1500 rollbar. Nice touch...bastards. Honestly though...with a steel latch I imagine that even problematic hoodpins would work.
