how to tell if yours is vtec or not

I have a civic si and i have had it since 2002. I did not know how to be sure mine had vtec or not and i didn't want to lose a street race because it wasn't turning on right so i found a way to test for vtec.

yopu look on the side of your car for a vtec sticker first. if there is not one do not even test because it probably does not have vtec. ok you start your car and start driving. when the needle on the rpms gets to something like 7 it will change sounds. that sound is vtec making more power, dont be scared. if you hear it you have vtec.
