all it takes for a car to be NOT streetable is the deletion of cats (TECHNICALLY FROM A LEGAL STANDPOINT), thats a very vague statement, my car is not streetable and i ran mid 13's. now as for the fastest street legal car ive heard rumors of a 7 second streetable viper, but nothing takes the cake quite like the 306 turbocharged 1993 lx of howie automotive.... get this dynoed 1720 horsepower (not typo) from 26psi of boost still a 5.0L motor too! 8.20@172mph COMPLETELY BONE STOCK APEARANCE with only a 2 inch cowel hood. THIS GUY DRIVES IT TO THE FREAKING TRACK and BACK... more than 20 miles each way... full power everything with stereo system, and still street legal. i happened to be reading an article on it whilst i read your statement. page 122 on february 2003 5.0 mustang... get this the car is so stock on the outside every time he goes to tech inspection and people ask what he runs when he tells them 8.2 seconds they politely inform him that its a 1/4 mile track and not a 1/8th mile track.... the only mods he does when he races are puts slicks on and puts the obligitory parachute on... now imagine the face of the 9.5 second all motor trans am IF he could pull up next to a street light with this thing in full race trim

In streetable I mean, it can Idle, get good enough gas mileage that you dont have to fill up every other block on 100+octane fuel, and that it still retains some creature comforts. And not have to worry about getting pulled over and having your car taken from you.
If you can do those and still rip off an 8something 1/4 mile(like the guy your talking about) then thats one HELL-OF-A-CAR and 100 times better than some trailor queen. In my opinion. |

you would not believe the amount of crazy traffic i get because of it, I SAY RIGHT ON IT THIS IS NOT AIMED AT THE TRUE ENTHUSIAST AND I GET ****ING DUMB IDIOTS talking shit about racing me.... and i call them out asking them if they want to race and they never do even though they frequent englishtown raceway park... i said ILL BE HERE AT A SET DATE AND TIME WITH 100 BUCKS, then they never show. sad part is there scared to race a mid 13 car how bout people who actually do this for a living.. i mean a stock ls1 would dust me with the right driver... one kid says he runs low 14's with a B18A IN A CRX with FILTER and thats all WITH STREET TIRES and HE PULLS 2.0 60 Ft's I JUST TOLD HIM MARCH 8th ill be there with the 1988 jeep cherokee and we run it hopefully ill post the vid... hell the best races i got were ONLINE. if my boy would only get some software to put videos online from a camera you could see the video between me and SVT COBRA of this site, before he crashed it

People always wanta talk shit, but think since they're living in the internet dream world they dont have to back it up. As for a stock b18a in a crx pulling low 14's, its highly UNlikely.
You need to get the vids up so I can watch em. |
