Who exactly is Dr. Phil?????

Please pardon my ignorance.

To elaborate a little more......(might as well beat it till it's dead right? )

A PhD in the business world can earn you more money and more respect, but it can also be a hindrance. If you're looking for a new job, having a PhD can make you look overqualified so you may not get hired. Also since a PhD would usually expect to get paid more than a Master's or Bachelor's, again it's a higher risk of not getting hired. If you already are working, and are making more, you may be considered overpaid for the job and guess what.....when layoffs come up you're higher on the list of people to cut.

I'd only get one if you want to do research. And if you want to do research, I'd definitely get a PhD.
