if you look at the video real close, you can tell what made the viper lose. In the beginning both cars are reving, if you listen to when they take off one of them peels out, and if you pay attention to the viper's lane there are skid marks for a good 20-25 feet. The viper was basically spinning his tires like mad but getting nothing out of it, that's why the honda pulled ahead.
