This is a joke, right? Go read a jr. high chemistry textbook, then come back and tell us what octane is.

Read your owner's manual. It'll tell you what kind of gas to run. If you mod your engine (read: increase compression) and it knocks, use bigger gasoline molecules (read: higher octane rating).
