Yes, a pink slip is proof of ownership of the car. I've had someone ask me that too when I had my GS-R. It was some riced out CRX, and he kept jumping at me, and I played with him, after I beat his ass a few times I started laughing everytime he jumped, he got pissed and asked if I'd run for slips, so I said sure. We caught a light, it turned green, and he was beat by at least 5 lengths. After the race, he took off. I just let him go because the car was a big piece of shit. I've seen him a few times at a local race spot and always laugh at him, he doesn't recognize me since the new car though.
