Question on Type R Swap. Shaking?

No, this in not the typical question you think that I may ask. Currently I have a 99 Civic EX Coupe with a 2000 JDM ITR Engine. The problem is when I accelerate only. When I step on the gas pedal and at around 3000-5000 rpms, I can feel and see the car shake (not violently or vibrating). I have come to a couple of conclusions. Fuel filter needs to be replaced, fuel leak somewhere (I can smell a hint a fuel when I open the engine bay but I think that may be normal), or it could be the drivers side pillow mount is bad and needs to be replaced. I have read that the drivers side pillow mount tends to be defective on EK civics. I find it strange though that I just replaced it with a brand new pillow mount (OEM) when I bought the engine 3 months ago and doubt that it will go bad that fast even though they are defective to begin with. But if need be I will replace it with a Place Racing pillow mount. Oh well, any suggestions comments concerns?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Well without feeling its tough. But you shouldn't smell fuel at all.

Double check you lines, fuel rail, etc. Is it more of a stuttering?

ya def the cv joints or mounts, you fuel lines should have been checked upon the swap and it's harder to make sure you do the axels and mounts correctly
