Cruise control on a dx?

I was just thinking. My leg was getting tired the other day during my 3 hour trip form school to home (binghamton to new york city).
I have an b16a2 swap done in my 95 dx. I know that the 00 si's have to come with cruise control. So I'm wondering how hard will it be to hook up? Will i have to just buy switch and plug and play or do i need to do all other kinds of s#@!. If you done a swap into a dx or cx, or if you just jave common knowledge let me know. Also will I have to sacrifice any horsepower (as with power steering) to make this happen.

well seems to me that you should just be able to buy the cruise control unit either universal or from like a junk yard and hook it up. Since youre running a b16a2 the pump for cruising just has to see the engine and then an electronic part or just a switch to turn it on. My best advice is to find an 99-00 Si at a junk yard and get the whole unit from that

You turn it on with the button to the left of the steering wheel, then you set it (when your at your desired speed) with the button on the steering wheel, you also adjust the speed with the other buttons on the steering wheel.

But in what gear does it connect? 4th or 5th? And the minimun speed to connect it?

Thanks.

It doesnt matter. If you wanna go like 30 put it in 2nd or 3rd and set it. Oh if you didnt know, it turns off when you tap the brake or gas pedal.
