Fuel and Temp Gauges

Alright Im pretty sure that Im screwed but Im doing this just for the hell of it. I just put in some custom gauge faces and I broke the temp gauge needle off...fine I dont really use that, so I glued it back in so it looks like I have a working one. However, after filling up and driving already 50 miles since my fuel needle isnt moving at all. I mean 50 miles and Ive been driving like shit (to see if its working) and its still at full...I know its broken. I guess my question is are the fuel and temp gauges sympathetic of each other? If one stops working the other does too? No...thats not possible... Ok people go ahead and tell me Im screwed just so I have more reason and backup to spend more money on eGay and buy a new cluster with the wrong miles on the odometer...f*ck my life sucks right now

you can change it and it's relatively easy to do. just time consuming and illegal

really?

is it just a straight swap? I can just rip out that whole part from another clutser and put it in mine? How would I change the part? I cant figure out how to get under the face without ripping the needles off...and that would put me in the same boat that I'm already in...but this is sweet if I can just get a replacement fuel & temp section.

I can change the mileage? I could care less or not if its legal. I seriously doubt a bunch of cops and fbi agents are gonna bust in my room while Im changing mileage...plus I'd make it exactly the same as the one thats in my car (76,XXX miles)

yeah I plan on puttin a brushed aluminum bezel or just some silver paint. But I called my cali buddy to check some junk yards around LA (and there are a shitload) for a cluster. It should be a lot cheaper that way than buying one from ebay. I already know from past experiences that none of the yards around me have any civics of any year...which sucks.
