Whats the deal with Whatts???

Ok, I have a 600 watt kenwood amp with 2 12in MTX thunder 5000's. My system sounds good, but Not as good as my buddies.

He has 2 10in Kicker solobaracs with a 350 watt kicker amp.

I know that watts are power, and that my amp puts out almost 2 times as much power as my buddies.

But why does his bump so much lowder and cleaner??
