Ok this probably sounds really dumb to a lot of you people, but I am clueless...no...uninformed about the topic at hand.

Alright, if a turbo is spooled by the exhast gasses that are given off (we all know the turbo manifold)...how do the exhaust gasses leave the car? I'm a little confused about this because...I just am. If the gasses go to the turbo... ...catback exhast... ....what good is an exhaust setup? Why do OE turbo cars have exhaust pipes...no there has to be a reason?

As you can see I have no idea and help would be great because I recently posted a Q about superchargers (what i wanted) but now I would rather do turbo (because I can get a sweet deal through a friend and dont want to pass it up). Problem is...I just bought a Tanabe Catback and I dont want it to go to waste if I am right about what I am thinking...
