Advice? Comments?

First off, I apologize if this isn't in the right forum.....

I'm looking for comments more than advice so here's the situation...

My car is sitting in storage right now and has been for the past 4 months. Before I left it, I did the basics, put it up on jack stands, took the battery out, got the gas down to a eight of a tank and put Stable in with what was left, and got an oil change a few days before I put it in storage with synthetic oil...

What I want to know is what if any affects the car will have for sitting that long without being started or driven. I'll be picking it up in about a month and was wondering what I have to look forward to.

Also, after sitting for that long, do you think I'll have any problems starting/running it...I'm thinking the fact that the oil is probably sitting at the bottom of the pan might be a concern......

You shouldnt have any problems at all. It should like you did everything right, that I know of. When you put everything together it should fire right up.

I had a 80 Ford F100 I let sit outside for 3 months without starting, I jumped in it and fired it right up. You should be fine. You may want to take it easy for a little while and let everything get "lubed" back up.

Let the car run for about 15 mins without pressing on the gas. So your ECU finishes going through all of its stuff.

I agree, everything should be fine. Just let it run for awhile to get everything moving again.

Probably nothing to major you should have to do. sounds like you did every thing possible to make it run in tip-top shape when it comes back out.

the geekz0r (11:04:16 PM): so 2nd pulls like 1st in the 5speed, 3rd is like 2nd, etc.
PortugeeTex (11:04:26 PM): so whats 1st like then?
the geekz0r (11:04:49 PM): 1st is like hitting a cheeta in the ass with a tazer
PortugeeTex (11:04:53 PM): lmfao

My mom stores her camaro over the winter without do anything like you did. All she has to do is jump the battery because she goes to start it. And quite frankly she dont trust me to do it for her But like they said jst let it run for like 10-15 mins and go about your ways and you should be fine.

ok on this same topic........ my dad had a f150 that he would not take care of, well a year ago the alternator broke and instead of replacing teh broken part he bought a new suv. well..........i thought it might be a fairly cheap way for me to get a truck. i was thinking of having him sigbn over teh title and have it fixed up. think i am going to have major engine (ect problems with it once the alternator is fixed. i know fords suck but hey it would be free. and all i want it for is to transport a 4-wheeler and my pop-up camper.

That's a great deal. I prefer Chevy trucks, but I'd take a Ford truck any day for almost free.
