New FMIC Is Installed! **PICS**

well, I finally got my GReddy TDO5-18G Type 31 intercooler installed on my TD04-15G. The bottom mounting brackets had to be modified as well as the piping, but it was well worth it in the end. The inlet-side endtank goes around the driver's side instead of curving all the way around the passenger's side, so I ended up losing only .5 psi! I also ended up cutting out my front bumper grill to make the IC stand out more.

You might have to up your monitor's brightness, but I don't know. . . .

First picture ... and yes, my front camber is really that bad:

thx for all the positive feedback!

I haven't dynoed it yet, but I ran a best of 15.5 without an intercooler. With it, I'm guessing somewhere around a 15.1 or 15.2. Let me tell ya, the car may boost less now that it has the IC, but it pulls 10x harder than it ever could when I was driving w/o an intercooler. Boost builds up much quicker now since the compressed air has been cooled by a considerable amount. In second gear at WOT -- from a rolling start -- I build boost at around 2300-2500 rpm. When I was w/o an IC, I built boost around 3000-3300 rpm. Much improved! I can even build boost in 1st now! i could hardly do that before. . . . I'm only running 5 psi, too. (It should be 5.5 psi, but I had a slight slight pressure drop when I got my intercooler in.) I'll be buying either a MBC or EBC soon and kicking it up to 7 psi. That should be fun.

For a few more pics, check out my homepage -- it's in the sig.

thanks again for the feedback.
