96 Civic EX want mods

I have a 96 2dr Civic EX basicly stock me and my dad want to make it a drag car but it will also be my drive around car so i want some good reliability with it i would like to turbo and intercool it in the near future ( could you and how hard and how much would it be to get a twin turbo) money is sorta limited to $8000 to $10,000 on engine mods i would like some suggestions please

(I need them for my dad hes new to the ricer things i need to convince him they can become fast and fun cars thanks)
