is it worth it?

I have a 94 honda civic EX. It is a automatic is it worth it to change it over to a manual and get a new engine?
and also is there an engine that is automatic that i can buy? i am really wanting a new and faster engine. and if so can you give me an estimated price?

You could swap to an integra engine thats an automatic. Which would be between 2000-3500$ (if you do the swap yourself) add 500-1000 if you have someone else do it)depending on what engine you get and the milage it has. Swapping out your automatic to a manual will cost slightly less than above. It would probably be easier to swap you engine and tranny to a manual integra engine rather than swapping the transmission you have.

swapping just the trany isn't worth it. you will need a new cluch, clutch pedal, primary clutch cylinder, maybe a new cluster, a new ecu, get rid of your old TCU

wanna leave it auto?.....my bro has an automatic ls in his 93 dx coupe....pretty fast but not that fast......
the list:
b18b engine and automatic tranny
94-95 automatic ls engine harness
94-95 automatic ls obd 1 ecu
94-95 ls shift module
Integra axles, automatic intermediate shaft
most important mounts should come with the motor (right & left engine mounts, right tranny mount and the triangle looking rear mount)
All the fluids

All the above cost us about $1200...but thats salvage parts
90,000 miles on the motor for $800 with tranny
