Installed TurboXS MBC

I just got my TurboXS manual boost controller today. I installed it in about 10 minutes. I know, what took me so long? Well, I just wanted to make it look pretty . Seriously, all you need to do is unplug the silicone hose from the actuator for the wastegate, plug it into one side of the MBC, take the hose supplied and plug it into the other side of the MBC and then to the actuator. If you set the MBC 3 turns as in the instructions, it gives you right at 7.5 psi. I set mine to 8 psi. This is a great MBC for $80. The turbo spools quicker and there is NO spiking. I like it.

Sounds like a very worthy investment.. Quick, easy, and shows improvement.. What more could you want for 80 bones..

Great investment. 80 bones, that leaves some money left over to buy other goodies.

Yeah and I don't really think that having a high/low control like on the ProfecB is neccesary unless you want to switch from like 8 to 10. I have no desire to switch to 5.5 psi from 8, hehe

You know, I did feel a difference but not as much as I was hoping. Crap! Oh well, I gotta get the Hondata 4b so I can crank it all the way up.

you know what you don't need hondata 4. all you need is hondata 3. I called the dealer that sells it around here and the person told me that you only want 4b if you want to tune it yourself but i think you cant really tune it unless you have a dyno. THe only difference between the two is that stage 4 comes with data logging. Neways he said that hondata 3b, + the mapsensor that will allow it to boost above 12lbs + dyno tuned and installed and ready to go for $1150. I think thats pretty good. Im gonna get it soon. hopefully.

You will need the 440cc injectors, high-flow fuel pump and a 1:1 riging rate regulator to be able to go the stage3 boost route. Check it out on the bottom of this page http://www.hondata.com/boost.html or are the above components included? If so, I might consider doing it that route. To go the Stage4 route, you will need in addition to the parts above, the Motec Lambda Meter. Then you can tune without the dyno It is only another 1300 bucks!

Nah, I don't have any cash. That doesn't mean I can't think about what I would buy if I did It was how I got the turbo, just kept talking about what I was going to buy and I would do the install, then there it was!

No, I didn't make it to the track. I did get your photos scanned. I am working on getting them on the website today. They came out great.
