do ignition wires make any difference ?
well i was going to order an intake probably tomarrow and i had some extra cash so i was wondering if better ignition wires would help at all . im not expecting any significant gains with them , but do they add any mpg or anything ? thanks .

no, they help provide a better spark with an upgraded dist. cap and rotor.

If your old ones are in bad shape then changing them out will make a difference.

like you said, you will not notice the difference. believe it or not, the honda spark plug cables are designed fairly well. u may feel the difference if you upgrade the whole ignition system. i have the nology hotwires (built in capacitors) and i really did not see or feel any difference.

If your wires are in good shape just leave them and save up for another mod. You won't notice any difference until you upgrade your ignition system.
BTW, what intake are you getting? If you're getting a cold air intake, get a bypass valve. I didn't and now I'm really regretting it. Can you say hydrolocked? http://www.hondastyle.com/forums/sho...&threadid=5705

ya just for that reason im just getting the aem short ram intake . thanks for the input . i guess ill just put the extra money towards an exhaust system .
