Who's down with Boss audio?

Many people have said that i am a fool for puting them in my car but tell you the truth... my boss audio speakers sound better than many of my friend high end/high priced speakers.

i'm upgrading to Boss's new Rip series speakers pretty soon and can't wait. still trying to find an amp to run them on though
they are rated at 150 watts rms and i'm thinking of using a 50watt by 4 channel RMS kenwood amp to run them

anyway, just thought i'd see if there was anyone else out there that realized how great these speakers are

personally i would never, eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeever (sorry about the chris jericho quote) use anything with the kenwood name on it. IMO Boss is decent for the money. they are a good base line to carry. i would not buy them for my car though. cadence makes really nice stuff, the only problem with them is trying to find them. almost noone has them. they aren't that terribly expencive either.

It all comes down to what you prefer. If you like the way your system sounds, then thats great. Who cares about names and how much it costs. As long as your happy with what you paid for.
My personal opinion is they are decent.

personally i love kenwood
i've never had a problem with any of the kenwood stuff i have
and i think it sounds great
i used to only buy sony but had alot of problems with it

i know boss is pretty low quality and i originally bought the bosses i currently have to put in my boat because they were cheap, but i ended up putting them in my car and was amazed by how good they sounded
the nice part about them is that they don't require a crap load of power to sound good... which is the case with most of the higher end speakers on the market

so if you have never actually HEARD boss speakers it is easy to say that they are crappy, but hearing is believing in this case

heard most of what they make..

It sounds ok.. at low intensity the sound was acceptable.. But if you turn it up the least bit, it sounds crappy..
Unusally high levels of distorsion + rattling parts (within the speaker)

Obviously its each ones choice to run what they like..

But the fact remains that a better quality product will have a greater potential.

Or am I missing something?

older pyramid stuff was greater than great. i've got news for you though, you said boss is low quality, but k-wood is great. why? kenwood is a decent starter brand. however, i would not use any of their stuff in a high end system. but like it was said earlier, its all aobut personal preferance. get what you like and what you think sounds good. people do have different ears. what i can hear is not necessarially what everyone hears. actually its not what everyone hears. thats why people that buy their stuff at best buy brag about how their system sounds. cuz they don't hear it like me. just my 2 cents.
