I'm sooooo upset

I wrecked my baby tonight. It's not too horrible and I know I'm making it out to be a lot worse than it really is...But I care more about my car than I do myself most days.

I was backin out my driveway to go to Wal-Mart and my stepdad left our 2000 Jimmy parked at the top of the driveway. Well my driveway is like a goat mountain...so when you are backing up it you gotta give it a little more gas than you typically would to make it up the driveway. Well I looked in all my mirrors like I always do and didn't see anything. I sure did feel it though. The head rest isn't as soft as you would think it would be!!! Made my headache that I had all day like 500 times worse.

So I'm gonna take pictures of it tomorrow and inspect it a little bit better. And hopefully I'll get a chance to take it into Honda to get an estimate. I so don't have the money for this. But there is no way I can let it go and drive around with it like that. I take WAY too much pride in my car to do that. I hate driving it when it's dirty let alone wrecked. I'll keep y'all updated.

Oh no! That really sucks that had to happen. Hopefully the damage won't really be as bad as you think and it won't cost too much to repair.

that sucks. i hit my car in the garage this winter right before christmas, but it was just a mirror and some scratched window.

whatever you do do not go thru the insurance cause if they pay for it, the premium is going to go thru the roof

ha I wish i had $$ to buy a body kit Duff...and yes I'm fine...thank you for worryin about me Hondaman! Lots of shizzle goin down at my casa. Not only did I wreck my car on Monday, my sis broke things off with her fiancee of 2.5 yrs and moved back into my house for the time being. And unfortunately for me the computer is in the room she is staying in AND she likes to go to bed early. She acts like a 50 yr old and she's only 22. I'll have to work on that while she's livin at home and single now! Oh and I'm going to get my estimate tomorrow morning from one place. I really don't want to go through insurance if I don't have to. My insurance payments are high enough due to speeding tickets.... I'll keep you all updated. Thanks for feelin my pain with me!

I took some pics on Wed...I have 24 more pics to take on the camera. Good thing Custom Compact Power Jam is in Carlisle this weekend. Gives me perfect opportunity to finish off the camera which means hopefully by next week I'll pics of the damage up here. I'm gonna be posting pics of my car in the "post your pics" forum...but of course they are all before the damage.

Oh and as for my sister. She came in here at 9:30 askin if I was gonna be done my research that I needed to do anytime soon...and I told her I didnt think I would be. So, being the kind sister that I am I offered her my bed...she didnt take it but she did go out and sleep on the couch. I feel bad now though.

ok...I got the horrible horrible news....my car is gonna cost $1303.83 to get fixed.
->Parts = $359.53
->Body Labor = $236.00 (6.9 hrs @ $40/hr)
->Paint Labor = $280.00 (7 hrs @ $40/hr)
->Frame Labor= $184.00 (4 hrs @ $46/hr)
->Paint Supplies=$133.00 (7 hrs @ $19/hr)
->Sublet/Misc= $37.50
subtotal= $1230.03
multiply that by 6% sales tax........
bring the grand total to......

$1303.83

oh and i've decided to throw my 4 yrs at college away...Teaching is not where it's at....being the frame laborer on my car is where it is at!!!! $46/hr. That sure does make my $8.84 as a dept supervisor at a dept store look like peanuts. I may as well be on assisted living!

don't plan on being a smart ass but to get a frame straightened out is quite a *****. and all the body work takes time and patience. i know 'cause i did it on my car, and it's not that easy. what makes you think you got frame damage ? how fast were you going when it happened ? i was rear ended once @40mph and my frame was still straight

That sounds really high for a Driveway Accident.. I think I can say we were all expecting a busted quarter panel....

YOU BENT THE FRAME IN A DRIVEWAY..... IN REVERSE ?!?!?!?!?!?!

I would seriously get a second opinion and ASK to see the bent frame .

Well I hope you get better news soon.
And don't scratch college just do something else.. kids suck anyway
