Welcome to HS
![]() I have some pulleys on my Accord, and they might do a little, but not that much. Every little bit helps though. I'd get I/H/E first if I had it to do over again.

For budget reasons? I consider pulleys to be cheap enough that they could be put on at any time. ![]() Or was there another reason that you would put them later? b |

no i was just curious and i was also curious if the smaller pulleys would drain the alternator being it would have to do more work thats all and if they made much difference thanks

Neh, I have them with just an intake. I was saying to do them last b/c you won't get much of a gain from them, and your money would probably be better spent toward exhaust, etc. Just an opinion from personal experience.

My lights dim at idle, and if you have a huge system, it will hurt it. I haven't had any charging system probs, because as soon as you are driving above idle, everything's fine.

My bro had a '95 Accord LX coupe, i/h/e and pulleys, with a pretty power hungry audio system in it. I never noticed his lights dim at night when the car was idling (5sp*), although he also had a gigantic capacitor in the system. I don't think he had done anything special to his charging system.
* I only mention 5sp because I've noticed that the autos tend to idle at a slightly lower rpm than the manuals. b |

That's weird, I have a small system, no capacitor (though I have one sitting in my room), manual tranny, and my lights do dim noticably. When I hit the gas, they become much brighter.

They do help the lower-mid rpm range more, so yeah they do, but only a little. Like I said, every little bit helps though.
