how do i go about finding them????????? stefan i got a laptop help me figure out how to get online without my phone line. i think it already has a wireless modem installed. HELP!

how do you do it with a regular pc and not a laptop????

YOu'll need a wireless network card on yrou computer.

If you have windows XP SP2 you right click on the network connection and say 'view wireless networks" it will show you the networks within range and teh locked and unlocked ones.

Very simple.

A PCI Wireless Network Card

There are two speeds B and G.

B=11mps
G=54mps

The G is faster and 99% of them are backwards compatible.
