Big big dilema
as you all know i have a 92 accord lxwhich is not in the greatest shape ever. mechanically it runs fine with exception of the suspension, some minor brake problems and a messed up tierod. Body wise almost disaster: rust in the rear quarter panels, and wheel wells. I always wanted to upgrade the car, or do something to it to set it apart from the accord crowd but it looks like the rust is holding me back. I really don't know what to do. the car will keep running for 3 or 4 more years, but the bodyy will die soon. Also fixing it is very expensive like 2 grand for the body work. Even if i get my stuff now when i'll get rid of the car i'll have nothing to do with it. Selling the car is kind of out of the question because i don't have money for a new one, and even if i sell it, i'll get no more than 3 grand for it. I really don't know what to do with it.

the right hand qp has a 3" hole in it. i was a dumbass and drove the car thru water after 2 hrs after applying the bondo. bodywork i wanna do it myself but it involves a lot of welding and i know jack about that. so far i have a pretty good deal: one of my friends told me that he can do it for me if i fix his computer when it breaks. He knows a lot about bodywork, he used to have his shop back in Romania.

Usually on rust they have to cut and weld in a new peice. Bondo and Kitty hair will work but only so long. If your really into fixing the car up I would say get it fixed right. 2 grand should buy you a new QP and a WHOLE paint job. Shit when my clipse was hit, they replaced the entire door skin and repainted the whole side of the car for 700 bucks! If nothing else find a Accord of the same year with a blown engine, and do a swap! Shit there are a million Accords out there you should be able to find one with a bad engine and a good body!

actually my friend id going to cut the rusted part and 2 more inches from it then weld a new piece, that's for almost free (well i'll have to fix his computer everytime he has problems, but that's ok with me i enjoy it). Then a new paint cobalt blue with white trims (lower only).
here is a list of mods i plan on doing: KYB AGX Shoks- $340 Eibach Springs - $180 Energys Suspension bushings- $90 MSD ignition setup - tops $250 Custom CAI/Short ram intake- $50 Ingham Headers (good for 12-15 hp)- $160 Custom 2.25" exhaust- $250 Energy motor mount inserts.- $30 total $1370 (2 weeks woth of work) What do u think ?

Man I'm always the one on the money end of everything.. either I'm very cost-conservative or I'm just broke. But you said you can only get 3 or 4 years outta the car. I dunno exactly how its running mechanically but I would think twice b4 putting money into something thats only gonna be around for a little while longer.
