Movie ownage
I have seen the future of martial arts films, my friends...and it is Tom Yum Goong. Starring Tony Jaa, it may be the most intense martial arts movies ever. For those who didn't see Ong-Bak (or for those who saw it and didn't wonder who that little guy ruining everyone's shit was), Tony Jaa is the best martial arts actor working today. Bruce Lee is long dead and both Jackie Chan and Jet i are getting too old to do any of the stuff that made them great in their younger days. I would even go so far as to say that Tony Jaa's performance in this movie would shame Jackie Chan even in his best days. Tom Yum Goong actually has a decent story and the action scenes are downright brutal. I imagine gang rapes have gone on with less brutality than some of the parts of this film. If you find a download of it that doesn't have english subs, don't worry...half the film is in english anyway (since half of it takes place in Australia). After I watched Fist Of Legend and Ong-Bak, I swore that I would never see a martial arts movie better than either film. I am now questioning that decision.
