alright so......im driving down the road (for you central FL people - Alafaya, near 50) and theres a RaceTrac gas station right there.....well im doing 50mph in a 45 zone, no big deal....and i switch lanes.....so this girl in her 4dr civic isnt paying enough attention to notice that i switched lanes, cuz had she been paying attention to the left side and not straight ahead she would have seen that. so she pulls out riiiight into me, my front right hit her rear left......so this no fault stuff doesnt apply since it was her fault....i have the right of way on a straight road, she was at a stop sign and shouldnt pull out till it is safe to do so.....and it wasnt safe to do so. so now i have minor frame damage (i think, not sure yet) and need a new fender, hood, front bumper, headlight. so on goes the C-West front bumper (thank *** i didnt have this on cuz if a several hundred dollar bumper of mine got messed up i would have slaughtered someone). and for now black housing headlights till i decide i actually want to spend $400 on CTR headlights. and yes i know, ive been wanting a 4dr but YESTERDAY i decided i wanted to keep my car, however if there is serious frame damage i am not keeping it and i will be getting my 4dr or perhaps another hatchback. dunno yet, have to have it checked out first. so anyways, im takin pics tomorrow....ill post em up when i get em for sure so you all can see what happens when idiots get behind the wheel of their cars.
oh and i also need to buy a new rota n1r since mine is now BENT.
oh and the girl had to go to the hospital cuz she hit her head on the B-Pillar where the seatbelt is. probably got a concussion from it since its a stupid little knob to adjust the seatbelt. hope shes ok but damn, hopefully she'll pay more attention to her surroundings next time. my car is crying in the garage right now with a busted eye and cheek
but well, now everything will seem to work out since NEW engine goes in (yet another swap) and then turbo and then 5lug conversion will be happenin hmmmmm....maybe ill just have the entire car repainted while its in the shop, seems like the worthwhile thing to do. or just get the check from insurance, wait till i get my new engine, have the old one pulled, this way the engine bay gets painted too. yes yes good idea right? fabulous. i dunno, people need to learn how to drive.

What the hell i share my old people sucks story!!!

I was at a stop light i was very far left and after you cross the inter section you can slide into a turning lane(light i was at is a no turn) i go ahead and mind my business and slide to the left well a big expedition comes up behind i think nothing of it. Well i lookto my right and this 60+ lady is sliding right INTO me car so i look back $hit expedition so look ahead and swerve into the other lane Oncoming traffic drop it to d3 and punch it to stay alive!!!!!!! called both insurance companies, they said its not 100% her fault. however it is probably going to end up as being 70%-85% her fault so i get that much back on my deductible. its gay she said that her lane was clear when she went to turn, thats a bunch of BS cuz had she been looking towards oncoming traffic she would have seen i had changed lanes a good while ahead. gahhhhhhhhh this blows. WH CANT PEOPLE LEARN HOW TO PAY ATTENTION TO THE ROAD

i didnt, and im not sure if she did or not. we're both liable, but her more so than me. which is why i said shes 70%+ liable for damages. but i didnt do anything illegal really, neither did she, however i had the right of way so.....bah it blows.

not too sure on that yet. looks like there might be minimal chassis damage. i know the whole front right fender is garbage, the headlight actually pushed the radiator fluid support beam and bent that out of place, the hood is bent a little, the headlight supports (at least one of them) is bent to all hell. alignment is WAY the hell off so im hoping theres no suspension damage, my wheel however is bent. and the front bumper 1/4 of it is ripped off, the inner wheel well plastic was ripped off. and the front bumper suppost beam is a bit bent on the corner. oh and you can see from under the hood that there is a bulge in the metal from where impact happened. i should have pics by around 5 so ill be sure to post all 11 of them.

I dont know about Florida.. but in Ohio if one person gets sighted and the other didnt, its the persons fault who got cited no matter what..

ouch.. I didnt think it was that bad.. From what you described, I think you're chassis is fuKed. In which case, you should get rid of that car. (if chassis is messed up.).

Yup, that's exactly what I said. Don't mess with chassis damage, just get a different car. Unless you make it an all out show car that you don't ever drive.

yeah thats what im thinking of doing if the chassis is super fawked up. cuz i really dont want to sell the car, id love to keep it at least in some way, and hell if i can take home trophies from shows with it, so be it. frame damage wouldnt mean much @ that point - itd be trailered.

Checked this morning.. its a TT its got 64K on it and its hot! Leather interior (the passenger seat is warped tho) and the spoiler on it is cracked in half but I'd change it anyways its a yucky one. There was some 50 year old guy looking at it today.

tomorrow and wednesday i am going to take the time to strip the interior, all of it except the dash. then when it goes into the shop to get fixed, it'll be stripped of its paint, primed, repainted a brand new color (courtesy of Brets ingenious idea which he will hopefully not share with anyone until pics come out of the completed project). C-West kit will go on, CTR mirrors will go on, Spoon CF wing will go on, 5 lug conversion and 16" te37's, and recaro srd's will be flossing on the inside along with CTR rear seats. new engine will be swapped in after paint along with a custom turbo kit, CTR headlights w/ HID conversion, the antenna will be shaved, rear emblem will be shaved, APEXi WS coilovers will go on, CF hood will go on, APEXi N1 turbo muffler will be mated to Thermal R&D turbo piping with flanges for easy removal, custom 12" sub enclosure in the hatch, new higher powered alternator in place, Optima battery, brand spankin new black carpeting, black headliner or a custom piece made from CF, CF center console, vents, shifter console. blah blah blah lots more but i dont feel like typing anymore.
im just waiting for FEDEX to arrive on the scene with my stuff so everything can be taken care of. car will be driven on the street - only on weekends most likely as new car will be bought. not sure on the new car yet as it wont be something i do much modding to. we'll see. im awaiting my Supra still, saw a green one pass my house about 15m ago, all i said was damn - lucky bastard.
