yes, 16's
205/45/16 yokohama avs es100 A 40 series is the actual size that you want, but it is a more expensive tire, theyre a lot thinner (surprisingly) and the ride will be rougher...plus its more difficult to get the 40 on the tire and because it that it could cost more to get it mounted (depends on if the shop charges by the hr or not) I recommend the 45 series...even though its not "the right size" (And PM works best for this kind of stuff) |

I've been running 17's with 40 series tires for three years and have never had a problem. But it also depends on how bad the roads are in your area, as well as if you buy cheap rims the chances of damaging them are higher.

the smaller the tire the more you have to dodge the potholes and bumps in the road
Its amazing how much different I drive now compared to when I had the crappy primes on...now Im bobbin n' weavin |

thats not true with the good rims or not, if there quality rims you have the same chance of cracking them rather then bending them if they where low quality rims

ALL IT TAKES IS A CHEAP TIRE TO BLOW WHEN YOU ARE TRAVELING 80 MPH, ON A 150-200mph on a highway, and it doesn't matter how wellbuilt the rims are they will still get damaged, i know, i just ruined one rim, and they dont make the rim anymre so know i have three rims that i cant sell cause they are not a full set, oh and dont go for anyting bigger than 2'' bigger than stock, it just wont look right!

Talk about blowingtires...I drove from Las Vegas to California to visit the peeps and back to Vegas...and you don't know how many vehicles I've seen changing their tire(s)...sucks...I just prayed that it wouldn't ever be me because I was traveling alone.
I think I'll get 16's if I ever get any rims...just because my car is lowered and I don't want the tread to scrape the fenders everytime I turn somewhere... |

Someone told me that if you go more than an inch bigger than stock for rims if ur going with low profiles that it will mess with the integrity of your suspension/turning or whatever. Is that only true with the stock suspension?

huh?
The larger the tire, the smaller the tire needs to be. If you get the correct sizing it will be the same diameter (if not a bit larger) than stock. It will not really affect suspension...not in the sense that I think you mean, anyways |
