i did something like that when i was a kid...ripped my toe open on a nail that was sticking out of a base board...sucked. Get some of those toe-cap things - like helmets for your toes - so it doesnt rub on a bandage or sock |

I've stepped on a 2x4 with a nail in it and had the nail go all the way through my foot. had a piece of vana stab into my pinkie toe and break off (or so i thought), went home and opened my toe up with a razor just to find out that it hadn't broken but just left it's black marking behind. Had a pattato pealer urchin rip out a chunk of my big toe, that blew, and i can feel the scar when i play hockey.
Vana is not a fun thing to step on, many of times have i limped around school cause i had 5-30 spines stuck in my foot.

I was walking up some concrete/stone/pebble type stairs with sandals on, someone called me, I looked at my phone and jammed my toe on one of the stairs... doesn't hurt that bad now, just looks really f*cked up...

No offense taken. It does look kinda gross, even now. I couldn't really clean it well because there is so much skin missing it is really sensitive and hurts to touch, much moreso to rub with a rag. I didn't get any "toe caps" bc I don't know where the hell to find them, so I will just hope that it doesn't get worse tonight when I go to sleep...

I think he was talking about those bandages that can wrap around your fingertip or in this case, your toe. Damn dude, my toe's hurtin now......reminds me of the time I dropped a "boulder" on my toe camping, lost the nail and was squished looking kinda like yours. Blahhhh, I just got the creeps again thinking about it.

OUCH
 That's worse than me slicing the side of my finger off with an exacto knife at work. (I just did that on Tuesday) Still painful but not nearly as bad. OUCH!
