GSR heders on civic with Ls motor

I have honda civic ex 2dr, and my friend gave me a DC sport 4-2-1 header for a gsr, but i have a 96 b18b motor in my car and i was wondering if it would work but theres one problem, the heders that he gave me dont have a hole for the o2 senser can it bold up or it wont work at all. any help whould be great thanx

It will fit...
But from my understanding it will not meet up with the cat, because of different flanges...it will have to be modded.
(at least thats what I read for integras, it might work on your civic if you have a custom cat already...or a free moving flange)

An o2 bung will also have to be tapped into somewhere on the header....best place would probably be in the same place or similar to where the stock bung is on the honda header. Any machine or muffler shop can do that for you........even dumb midas cant screw that up (Id hope)

(header, not headers...you have 1)

lets not get personal.

back on topic. it should fit, but i thought it had to be modified even on civics to fit the cat. after all it still an integra cat. you will have to make a o2 bung like pdig said. but i disagree about midas i think they would screw up.

yeah...youre probably right...
theyd probably think the bung belongs facing horizontal instead of vertical, and they'd mount it on the edge of the flange so you have something to hold on to when you cart the header around

aight thanx im going to install it 2marow and take it to the shop for the o2 senser, you guys say that the flange has to be modded is the gsr flange differrent from the ls flange? i just dont wanna put the header on and drive to the shop with open header and puse i wanted to swap my hollowed cat for a performance cat. oh yeah my cat is the stock ex cat, so i cant just swich to a integ cat.

so your getting a hi-flow cat? which one? i would make sure it fits both header and exhuast.

yes, ls and gsr flanges and even cats themselves are different

alright now, thats gettin 2 deep, i remember when i first started working on my car, i was stupid also, big stickers, racing stripes is what i wanted, but then we all get influnced one way or another
