Exclamation Swappers Come Hither!

Alright, now, I want to know what kinds of motors or frankensteins I can make work in a CRX. (frankensteins meaning the head is different from the block).

Now the deciding factor of me getting a CRX, would be the fact that I could swap a B18 (VTEC) motor in one. But my friend said that The type R couldnt fit. So i was wondering what all my options are....i would research it myself today but i have to work on this kids air ride. So, let me know. I appreciate it all. peace.

That is not a bad idea. If you want power with turbo, forget typeR swaps. It'll cost more and the risk is higher. B18B/A's are cheap and strong. If you are local in Va Beach, I can get you a complete B18B swap for $700. All you'd need is mounts and shift linkage.

I could always pay for shipping and stuff, think he could get me a b16a1?

PS. do you think a b16a2 would fit?

That's the problem. Most people here dont like the hassle of shipping. B18B/A is common. B16a1 or 2 is a little scarce. I think It'll fit tho....
B-series is B-series bro. The mounts for a B18 or B16 to a CRX will be the same. Here's a link:

hmm because the b16a2 has 170 hp, with the same torque, while the a1 has 170....hmm.... would these motors come with LSD and trannies? and all wires and such? or just the motor.

Nope. I think the only LSD you'll get with the B-series is the TypeR (ITR and CTR). i dont think hasport sells motors. i think they only sell mounts and everything else that can go with an specific swap.
