brake pads?
i need new brake pads, maybe rotors, they were both replaced when i got the car a few months ago, but i wanna up grade. any suggestions.

you got them a few months ago and you already need new rotors and pads? What kind of driving do you do? auto-x daily??

you don't need either...
when the time does come (probobly not for a while with the rotors)... I'd suggest brembo blanks and the aem/nissin pads... I have powerstop crossdrilled's and I like them but they're kinda pricey and ALLEGEDLY they don't do anything... I think they do but didn't bother to test so... I won't know till I have to change the rotor's again... (which according to powerstop is never).

im a delivery guy, stoppin and going like crazy. my breaks dont feel consistant and appear to be cheap brakes because of the amount of brake dust they shed. the guy who sold me the car put new brakes and rotors on and i dont think he went to expensive. the brakes feel inconsistent, sometimes they stop quick and other times i have to really hit them.

do they work better when they warm up or after using them a few times? Theyre supposed to be that way 9/10 times anyways
if you really feel that you need new ones, just get autozone ones...from what most people read/say/discover they are brembo blanks under another name...they will work just fine shelling out the money for actual brembo blanks isnt really going to be any different... Pads, eh...i use aem/nissin but I hear good things from hawk pads as well |

get some brembo blanks and do a rear disk swap. that should improve your pedal feel and decrease the stoping distance.

When and if you do the rear-disks'
I'd highly recomend getting a matching master/booster and prop valve... It will greatly improve the brake feel over just the disk swap.

Important - prop valve is required...otherwise the greater pressure that drums needed will be too high and will cause the rear discs to lock up

im not too know-how about brakes. but dont the rear brakes work less than the front ones? im suggesting the rotors might actually need replacing. it's one thing for the brake pads to be wearing down. but when they are inconsistent i think it would be more of rotor warping than anything. every time you stop or go really quick you leave damage on your rotors. after a while you will actually begin to feel the areas where your rotors are warped. the car will seem to bobble every time it is slowing down. if the pads are the problem, i would THINK that they would be consistently messing up. meaning all the time, 100% not as effective.

that last reply seems to be the problem, it feels like anti lock brakes and i know i dont have them. so i think that the rotors may infact be warped. i am probably gonna look at them.

if you want some great rotors go with the baer eradispeeds. they have a lifetime warranty on warping
