Pooopy 1/4 time of 99 Civic EX
Ok, this was my first time at the drag strip and my first couple of run sucked a$$. (tires sucked by the way)
Heres a list of mods: AEM Short Ram Greddy EVO Ebay Short Shifter *Removed spare tire and jack 60' =3.042 330=7.582 1/8=11.511 MPH=62.99 1000=14.843 1/4=17.637 MPH=79.82 (FIRST and WORST RUN) 60' =2.561 330=7.102 1/8=10.851 MPH=65.70 1000=14.078 1/4=16.783 MPH=83.17 (4th and BEST RUN) After the 4th run my time kept gettin' slower and slower, prolly because i don't let it cool enough. It was pretty cold so I wasn't gettin' the best traction out of my not so good tires. Do you guys think I should be running faster?

16.7 is kinda high, but its not bad for the not-so-avid runner.
practice more and you should make it a bit faster |

Don't feel bad it was my 1'st time at the track last week and I ran a 15.1 @104 mph. I tribute my crappy time to inexperience and no traction. My current setup is a Stock B16 A2 swap with intercooled 9psi of boost. I dynoed it at 270whp and 188 foot pound of torque. Haltech ECU,ACT Street Race clutch, ported TB,RC550 injectors.
I had wheel spin all the way to mid 3rd gear, so i figure that's where I was loosing most of my time. ![]() ![]() |

wheresmylicense: the ebay shifter works great, i got it as a gift from my gf and i just purchased polyurethane bushings for it...every shift is crisp, precise and firm; did i mention it noticeably shorter than before?
