best energy ("new age") drink...
have you guys had some of those energy drinks (i.e.: redbull, rockstar, amp, etc.)? it's a newfound obsession for me. nothing better than energy in a can. but which one's the best? i'd say either "adrenaline rush" by sobe or "monster."

redbull is OK, adrenaline rush is the shit!
I don't think they have any caffeine in them, and I know they don't have as much sugar as a coke...

uhh id lock at some of those.. if its not cafine, its aspartame or nutrasweet (i think it the same thing)..but that stuff causes brain cancer. and other tumors... here is some thin on it..."it is currently believed that multiple
separate mutations involving several types of proteins must occur to cause normal cells to become carcinogenic. Thus, in human adult or aging populations the accumulation of spontaneous mutations may be sufficient to set the stage for an environmental agent to provide a single critical factor required to trigger carcinogenesis." Therefore, in the population group that is, by far, the most susceptible to glioblastomas and anaplastic astrocytomas -- the late middle aged and elderly -- it would certainly be possible for brain tumors to progress after 4-5 years that aspartame was on the market. It is the less susceptible populations that would likely see a longer time period (on average) before the tumor develops. yea yea yea, its seems messed up but watch out.. |

That stuff is like cocaine...
You should never even bother to try it... it's too expensive and will ONLY cause harm. there is NOONE who would tell you those things are good to drink... it's like "jolt"... the company made it just to be the one with the most caffine... it's marketability is the fact that if you drink one you're "crazy"... Kinda silly imo. I have never nor will ever try any of those over-priced. under-sized... death mixes. Oh and a LOT of them contain like 200% of your daily allowance for certain things... that can cause SERIOUS problems depending on what you're overdosing on...

Home made energy drink:
1 cup of gatorade (powerade ok too) 1 cup of sugar (no subsitutes) 1 table spoon of salt 1 cup of instant dissolve coffee (caffinated only) stir well and drink PS. I'm not responsible if anything happens to you should you attempt this. |

I've tried just about every energy drink out there. The ONLY one I continue to buy is Red Bull.
Most other drinks are packed with sugar, caffiene &/or guarana. None of which have the impact that B vitamins & Taurine have. Red Bull isn't a 'sudden rush' like most of the others. Red Bull has 27(?)g of sugar per 8 oz can. Considering the fact that I don't drink soda, I don't see it an issue to have one or so a day. And on a side note, Red Bull has a sugar free version. Completely different taste too.
