brake torque

Ok so Im trying to launch with an automatic. They said I should hold the brake down and rev it to 4000 and let go of the brake. I tried doing this but the brake cant seem to hold the car back?!!

so basically theres no way to launch an automatic?? =(

yea put it in nutral, rev it to like 6 grand.. and drop it into drive....






hahah nooo! j/k dont do that! neather is good for the tranny... have u tryed the e brake? just pull up on the lever and drop it.. i dont know what to tell you dude.... good luck and dont blow anything up...

Basically, no. Although, if it's going to work, you should only rev for a second. Sounds like either your brakes suck major lluevos, or you're holding the gas and brake for too long. The whole process should only take a second....

mine can do it for longer than 1 second, and the car won't move, but i higly reccomend against it

jeebus christ..all this time....it takes my car pretty long to get it rev up to 4000rpm so no..it doesnt take me one second. I didnt realize brake torque process take 1 second lol. I hope I didnt do any major damage to the brake system or anything. so where should I rev up to..3000 ok?
