wondering about Okonomiyaki

Its like a japanses pancake but its eaten after breakfast and with mayo or some other sauce and it has some kind of meat inside it?

anyone ever had it before?

What is it like?

but seriously, i was wondering because my friend is going to make them for me when she visits this summer. i just wanted to know what they're like before i have them...know what im getting into (i was never one for japanese food)

they're not 'pancakes', but the breading in it is similar...

it can be REALLY good sometimes...

but i'm not a fan of okonomiyaki, so i rarely eat it...it's one of those foods where you have to be in the mood to eat, for me atleast.

cooking it over the pan is fun though, you get to use little metal things, ahaha.

pimpinprelude, yes it looks nasty but so does sushi...and 90% of those who say it looks nasty end up LOVING it.

bulgogi is Korean.

I've never had nor heard of okonomiyaki, but I'm almost always open to trying new foods. I've had very few Japanese dishes so far that I haven't liked.....

I've also never seen nasty looking sushi....in fact, all the sushi I've ever seen looks really good. It's a decorative art in most places. I've had some nasty tasting or textured sushi before, though.
