maunual racing techniques?

so i have been driving a 5 speed for about two months now. which means i am just starting to get the jist of driving a stick. i drive a 95 integra ls. does anyone have any info on techniques or tricks to driving? i'm not even sure the limit on how high you should rev or when to shift when racing. driving, i'm fine at the clutch but very uninformed on how to race a 5 speed. any pros feel free to shed some insight

get alot better at driving stick... you jsut wana be able to know your timing for when to put the clutch in and get to the next gear fast... thats about hte best i can tell ya

well how many rpms are to high and unhealthy for my car to handle? what about timing the clutch release and gas stomp down?

2 months is nothing. Keep practicing. Try taking some corners ( not too fast) and shift coming out. Make sure you can math your revs.

Timing is everything. Its not bad to mess up when the RPMs are low. But mess up when they're high an it'll cost you.

read you car manual, it should have the max speeds you should do in a gear before the rev limiter kicks in. That and learn to know when to shift from the sound of your engine. It's a very personal thing, a man and his 5 speed.

hard to hear a stock civic...i remember when i first started driving sometimes I didn't know if i conked out or not lol
