sounds pretty nice to me...although I really dont have any experience w/ decent salvage yards. Whats the condition of the motor that they have? Do they start it up for you before you swap?

"What are you going to replace it with ?" probably the same engine thats in there... i dont know enuff about swapping to put something else inthere...as much as i would like to..."why are you swapping" its smoking REALLLY bad.. and i know its not going to pass emissions.. it needs rings.... and i cant handle something that big...(unless somebody can find step by step instuctions)

pour some of that liquid restore crap in to the oil... it might stop the smoking... stuff works miracles and it can't hurt if you're already planning a swap.

besides the smoking everything else works on it? If so why not just get a tune up at some shop and save the trouble of the swap and all that?

the geekz0r (11:04:16 PM): so 2nd pulls like 1st in the 5speed, 3rd is like 2nd, etc.
PortugeeTex (11:04:26 PM): so whats 1st like then?
the geekz0r (11:04:49 PM): 1st is like hitting a cheeta in the ass with a tazer
PortugeeTex (11:04:53 PM): lmfao

tune up won't fix bad rings... which is why you're probobly getting blue smoke out the back...

try "engine restore" it's in a tubular cardboard can... it's good stuff as a last ditch effort... it can save a motor that's gunna go... but it ain't something you want to add to your motor unless it's pretty grim... especially import cars... the tolerances are too tight and this stuff is designed to fill spaces..

Oh and I may have a free block for you... my buddies shop is doing a motor on a prelude si.. 2.0... the dude bent valves but the pistons are ok... my buddy says it looks ok.. but I'm in ct...

it's a longblock with no head... well there's a junkhead/intake with bent valves...

so it's really a full motor with a bad head.

where in pa... it's not that much further... specially for a free engine.

remember though he said it "kissed" the piston... didn't bust it but that doesn't mean a rod isn't bent.

If your that serious I could take a closer look at it and see what kind of condition the bottom end is in... he said it should be fine.
