Coilover Help
I want to buy some coil-overs, but I only want to spend 200 or less. I hear dropzones are alright, but they ride crappy, any suggestions on something decent in this price range? Or does anybody have a used set of something they need to get rid of?

saying "I only want to spend 200 or less" on suspension is a real dumb idea...its your suspension
spend 300 or so and get Ground Controls or Skunk2 dont chince out...do it right the first time so you dont have to buy another set and get pissed (Buy em from Hondaman-iac) |

i did once get pissed on my cheap suspension and i paid 540 for it. now i ride an 1k suspension and i love it to death. coilovers will be stiff and bouncy as hell on stock struts. i would go with ground control for stock shocks and the stock replacements but the ride might still be crappy. pm me or aim me and i will give you a few suggestions

The best price for skunk 2 is 245, and 300 for ground controls. Anybody seen better?

depending on how low you drop em really...but the shocks shouldnt last long...and the ride would be crap. Do both at the same time for ease

Since I wont have to throw money on shocks, I could speend up to 600, no more. I was thinking about a barley used set, or a new set thats affordable. such as H&R, Eibach Pro Kit, anything decent really.

Apex'i WS, Tein SS can be had for under $1k and they are nice. The WS isn't damping adjustable, but its much cheaper.

I want to upgrade buy some adjustable coilovers and shocks. I was thinking about either dropzone or arospeed. I hear alot of people talking about how these brands are junk, but none of you got adjustable shocks to go with them, why, was it lack of funds or knowledge? Which company is better dropzone or arospeed? Which adjustable shocks would work best with either one of these brands? I'm trying to stay in the range of $500 for the coilovers and shocks together. Can any shock work with any coilover? I don't want to spend the grip of money on these because I still need to get sway bars and strut bars. please help

dropzone/arospeed are budget coilovers......i run dropzone coilovers and they ride like CRAP on stock shocks......why do i have stock shocks?
cuz i wanted adjustability for a little while until i could go for a full coilover setup. anyway.....save up more money until you can afford some GC's and koni yellows. you wont be unsatisfied. |
