![]() how hard is it to adjust the valves on a vtec motor and how do you do it? i heard all you have to do is stick a feeler gauge in to check for it. any ideas?

well if you have never adjusted valves it will be kind of a learning experience. i definitely reccomend you find someone who has in the past to help you. on a 95 Accord it's fairly simple, the valves need to be cold(room temp, 70 degrees or so) and you will need a .300mm feeler guage for the exhaust valves, a .250mm Feeler guage for the intake valves, a 60 degree offset 10mm Box end with a flat head screwdriver, a 19mm Socket with a 10-20" extensionand 3/8 ratchet to turn over the engine.
Remember start with the firing order, 1,3,4,2. there are marks on the cam pulley backside to let you know when it's lined up correctly. It's not something for someone who is mechanically inclined to get involved in. jeremy |
