Best Sound
Hey I have intake on my car. I was wondering what would be the cheapest and best thing to do for exhaust on my car. I have a 98 Civic Ex. Thanks

well what are you looking for? do you just want the "ultra cool" 5 inch outlet exhaust can, or do you want an actual decent exhaust system? a good cat back exhaust can be pricey, but itll be even more pricier when you have to go back and replace everything that you never really wanted anyway.
what you CAN do is this (meaning this is what I would consider): look at your cat. is it rusty, and/or does it rattle? if so, replace with a high flow one. they cost around 100-150, and will gain you maybe a few horses. consider what kind of piping you want. I'm choosing 2 3/4" piping, all the way back, but its up to you (hondas have no torque anyway, so who cares?) muffler choice is also up in the air, but you get what you pay for. I've heard all good things from tanabe, hks, apexi, greddy. make sure you hire a good welder to put all of this together for you, and make sure you know he can do mandrel bends (you dont want crushed bends like midas does) make sure he's using stainless steel also. |
