The red saturn I raced....
I don't know how many of you remember my post about the red saturn kill i posted on the kill boards about 2 weeks ago. But, if you recall, on the post, we were talking about what the saturn had in it because it appeared totaly stock, yet it still kept up with me....well, it turns out that his nephew goes to my school. His uncles saturn has a turbo charger in it! haha...I beat a turbocharged saturn :P . hehe...just updating you guys

yes but did you actually SEE the turbo? people talk a lotta crap most times, much like the cavalier rice kid that claimed he had a "vtec conversion".

I made sure and asked the kid over and over if he was SURE it was turbo'd. And he kept saying yes....i think he would want to be on his uncles side tho....so, if he lost (the saturn) which he did, then it seems like he would want to play up his car as completely stock....no?
I did notice that after the race, i was behind him, adn the car was abnormaly fast for having no mods (that i could see). I don't know, i will never see it i'm sure....i saw him parked adn leaning on his car flirting with some chick yesturday, and i drove by and grinned at him. haha...anyways....interesting |

It was not the twin cam one....it was the plain 4 cylander saturn....coupe i believe. I had a good look at the back of it, because i was behind him later after the race....and it didn't say, "Twin cam"

I know what the rear end of the 'twin cam' saturn looks like....this didn't look like it, and it didn't say 'twin cam' on it. i think that thats enough info to prove its not a twin cam satrun, lol.

EX vs a Saturn. Maybe. Not a turbo, not with the mods you have which isnt much. I dont drive a turbo and I could beat your car. Too bad I dont street race though...

Im not arguing at all. All I am saying is that I have seen a Turbo saturn go up against many Civics down here at the GW Forum and none of them won. AND they were modded, a few of them with more mods than what you currently have. I just find it hard to believe...

No no, you're kool, i'm not fighting with you...i don't wanna fight with anyone, but...ya know... the saturn had no other mods except the turbo, and it is some factory performance part, lol....the sticker on the side of the car says somthing to the fact of... "Factory performance" |

IMO Saturns are crap anyway. And as for my first car I had a Civic EX as well (4 door 96'). It had a header, exhaust, intake...all that good stuff...As a matter of fact, I saw (a few weeks ago) at the GW forum this guy who had the same first car I did with pretty much the same mods. He went up against that turbo Saturn and lost. Not big time, but he did loose. I dont know if this Saturn that was racing had any other mods.

Yes, i don't like saturns that much either....from the sound of the car, i don't think it had any other mods to the engine. I didn't hear an intake or header. This saturn is an automatic also....i don't know how good of a driver he was also. theres a whole bunch of stuff that could be factors in this.

I run DC headers with my big wonkin T3 turbo all the time. my turbo is ghetto mounted past my cat so i can still get flow.

lol no u cant hear headers or an intake Especially if your inside your car with it running and trying to listen to theirs....u might hear it all through exhasut but it has a muffler which muffles the sound....every car has "headers" in it....it's part of the exhasut system unless u remove the cat and the rest of the exhasut "aka straight piping it" u cant hear them...sorry...and as for a CAI....the only tiem i can hear mine is when i shut my engine off and u hear the air flow stop after the engine shuts off...some cars....like subarus with short ram air's or CAI's can u hear the difference...sorry pal..that's why were laughin

EDIT: I used to be able to hear it even louder when i had my short ram intake. |

And plus, when you put headers, or intake the car does get a lil deeper. It opens it up, it gets mroe of a growly sound.

the point they are making is there is no way you could hear the i/h of another car on the road while you were in your car w/ your own i/h/e.
and yes an intake will make a little noise, but not enough for others to hear. |

i'm gettting stupid....how so? answer that. the only person that was stupid was you for laughing at me. Try using 94_AcCoRd_EX for an example of how to act, cause you are obviousely not able to interact regularly without a roldmodel. If in your situation,a dn thinking of posting what you did, he'd prolly say instead, "Hmm, thats weird, cause i can't hear my intake or headers..." yea OPAK |

another example of how you should respond...anways... The reason i say thati could hear it, is because when i was slowing up for the stop light with the clutch in (engine at .5 rpm) he floored it past me (sped past me) and I COULD HEAR THE ENGINE!!!! wow, novel idea. |

dude... i dont know about your car, but my intake it louder than my exaust. the header gave my car a fuller sound, and the exaust made it deep. i'd say about 65% of the sound is my intake
