1990 Honda Accord Alternator
Has anyone had to replace the alternator on a 1990 Honda Accord? The Haynes manual is vague at best. Does the driveshaft need to be removed?

Hey Hondaman,
I did take out the BIG bolt and also loosened the adjusting screw to the point I could turn it with my fingers. The alternator would not BUDGE. I hit it with a hammer and block of wood, it would still not budge. I bench press over 300 so there was plenty of force on it. It is currently 3 degrees here in NH and I the sun is down so tomorrow is another day..but is there another mystery bolt holding this sucker on? |
