DX vs Corrola

The other day I finally convinced my friend to race my 97 DX Hatchback. He has a 99 Corrola LX? Not sure of the model. But we both have no mods done atm. We raced on some road, not sure how long it was, i'd say damn close to 1/4 mile. We both gripped the road at about the same time, maybe I was a little quicker, but it was close. Since I have a DX and no tach, I had no idea what the hell the rpms were, So i just shifted to the sound. Eventually I started to pull ahead and by 5th gear I was about a car and 1/2 ahead by the time we both shut down. Needless to say it was really fun racing 2 stock/slow cars
