Accord V.S. PRELUDE

wow....this was the craziest race ive had so far.....i dont know if the thing was a H22 or not...but obviously not since I WON by half a door lenght...from a complete stop....we stopped just at the light for enough time to rev it up and let her rip lol....it wasnt the older gen. prelude..more closer to 4thgenlude's car..all i knew it had was an exhaust....the guy said it was stock under the hood......anyone think they would know the engine in this thing...if it was the H22...i would get raped..im still confused on this one...unless hes a terrible driver....but anyway it went to about 130-140 kph...then i shut it down...thumbs up and turned around to go home....

Nice kill.

The prelude S has an Accord lx motor in it, with 135hp I believe
The Si has 160hp.

What about the S2000? That's not sweet.
I must agree the ludes are still amazing cars, but so is the S2K!

yeah i raced this prelude in my accord once, also a 4th gen, i won by about half a car length. he had the same engine in his car as i did in mine. f22b1. which is about 135hp and 145 tq....depending on where you get your info. plus preludes are generally a couple hundred pounds heavier than accords, but maybe thats only the h22'ed ludes. i have a 94 accord, by the way

yeah, ive found so many contradictions as far as engine codes go. some are false and sometimes you get the same engine in different cars producing slighty (5hp or so) more or less power. so yeah, its confusing.
i know my 94, the 5th gens, are lighter than the 5th gen (square lights 97-01) and im 80% sure they are also lighter than the 4th gens (92-96). the difference is only like 100-150lbs though.

Get it dyno'd....that'll be your best bet to see exactly what you're running.....

get your engine code, i have a engine guide, it looks like the USDM 91 ex is 140hp and since the US never got ex-r's and they all came from canada, im guessing its like the SI-SIR thing they did with the civics
