then you can port it really low (say 20hz?). he wants drum bass and those type of bass, but they don't occur at that low of a frequncies so it would be ok if he ported the box. u can tune a port as low as any sealed box, but you just have to get the right subsonic filter setting to accomodate the tuned port. besides...if you can tuned the port as low as a sealed boxed sub can go, then u shouldn't really matter that much about the higher frequncies because both should play above 60hz. then again, its not sub frequncies anymore if you go beyond 60hz.
