And why did they change the numbers for insurance reasons? Well if you did a little reading you could find out for yourself.. but it seems you are too lazy or can't read.. pick one I don't care.. they orig called the 429 a HO429 then changed the name to boss. What was the difference between the boss429 engine ran in NASCAR and the boss429 sold to the consumer? Nothing. They were the same engine.. There were options to swap carbs, and put milder cams in for customers who wanted them, but the 429 was the same designed for NASCAR. I am not sure, but I don't think NASCAR lets cars compete that do 14s in the 1/4. |
