have you never heard of such a thing as carpet? carpet is the soft stuff under your feet which is found in many houses and even a few cars. while it is comfertable to stand on, it also acts as a damper. what this means is it cushions the movement of heave stuff on top of it. plus the weight of the box and speakers, if correctly built, it doesn't move. that goes for most cars. high end competition cars have completly different reasons for the same thing though.
