it is a holiday but isn't a full holiday.
meaning not all people get the day off.
only some get it, and again only a part of those some get to take it with pay.
and if you work, it's not time and a half!
I'm not exactly sure why it's called civic holiday though.

Oh ok...I get it. It was weird. When I saw it I was clueless. That's sort of like Good Friday for me.
