Are you sure? I've got a 97' EX and I only removed the two (I think) screws in the gauge cluster cover, then 4 more holding the entire gauge cluster. This should remove the entire gauge cluster from the car (after you unhook the electrical stuff). Maybe I'm thinking of the wrong part?
