Its a filter replacement the air box resonator is actually down in the bumper area. Its only function is to reduce noise and as a result it inhibits air flow. If you wanna win races but don't want a turbo or supercharger then get nitrous. A 50 shot can be run without worrying about reliability, its also only 500$.
