In your Mountain Bike magazine do they have a section where they show letters written by the readers? Maybe you should write a letter to them explaining your feelings on their cover article in the last issue. I did that with People magazine one time and guess what....they actually picked my letter and it was printed. It was kind of cool to see what I had written printed in a magazine that so many people view!

now this is a good idea, but my guess is they'll just laugh it off as from what i've put together thats the kind of people they are
